Who out there can hear the cries of the ghetto?
Its sorta the same as saying If a tree falls in a forest and there's no one there to hear it, does it make a sound?
Because in my town,
no one seems to listen.

They don't even know how to trace their tree
Or how to escape from poverty
911 is a joke especially when the cops just come around to steal your smoke,

The cops out hustlin too,robbing the ghetto of all its wealth & health

How about the people that were so fly and pretty back in the day
I know where do u see them, in the gutters cus that is where they now sadly lay

Baby mother screaming about child support, got rent to pay, gotta eat but somehow working at McDonald's won't do,
so the streets they walk.
what a choice to make sellin death to their people so they can live
without being locked up and victimized for just simply deciding to have a kid
and not being rich enuff to support them at the same time.
So everyday they up on their daily grind
How many trees must fall in the ghetto for us to wake up and see
that trees make noise even if no one is around
or if they are pretending they don't see,
them fall
